Alexander palm can only be grown in greenhouses in mainland Japan, but here you can enjoy the amazing sight of a number of them growing straight up toward the heavens. This palm-lined street is also a popular spiritual spot.
Za baobab, originating in Madagascar, can be found at Southeast Botanical Gardens. The leaves are eaten as a vegetable and the roots are used as a medicine and no part of the tree is wasted; za baobab is known as the “treasure tree.”
Lotus starts to bloom as soon as Okinawa enters its rainy season and the large pond becomes covered with white and pink lotus flowers
